Design of Prototype Load Moment Indicator on Mobile Crane using Microcontroller based on Lifting Load Chart

A load moment indicator (LMI) is an electronic device on heavy equipment cranes that can provide information and a warning system to operators in the event of overload during lifting process. This tool has very important role because it provides accessible operator about safe working (SWL) crane lift. Mobile have high accident potential when compared tower cranes, this mobile mobility. In paper, prototype LMI been made based microcontroller value. The method used algorithm find closest value from chart car. programming still manual, namely by equating comparing boom conditions such as length, angle, radius contained with results measuring sensors. nearest search follows rules how read chart. test show sensors measure actual each maximum relative error 0.92%, 8%, 4%, respectively. Meanwhile, SWL value, comparison scanning according crane. It accurate whether process or overloaded.
